WIBT Goes On Honeymoon

Hi all my lovely readers!

As some of you might already know, I´m off on my honeymoon for 3 weeks (Sydney – Fiji – Hong Kong – SO excited!), and with that, I have decided to put WIBT on vacation mode until the end of August.

I have never really taken a long break from the blog, but this is a once in a lifetime holiday with my new husband where I really need this space from my otherwise beloved blog and computer. You can still follow me live on my Instagram account (my username is anneliwillis).

Until then – I wish you all an amazing few weeks, wherever you are – and I promise, I will be back even stronger (and no doubt, with a very full suitcase filled with goodies I will share with you once I´m back in action!).

Lots of love,

Please note that (for obvious reasons) I won´t be able to send out any orders from my WIBT SHOP while I am away – however all orders will be reserved and sent as soon as I am back.

L.K.Bennett x What´s In A Rucksack Campaign

L.K. Bennett x What´s In My Rucksack Campaign?

A rucksack is deceivingly underrated when it comes to style combined with practicality (which is a very important combination in my opinion!). Firstly, they can room so much more than your average handbag, and it´s much easier to carry; thrown casually over your shoulder, holding it like a handbag, or worn traditionally (which is such a cute look!).

I was therefore thrilled when one of my favourite British brands, L.K. Bennett asked me to take part of their new campaign ´What´s In My Rucksack´, featuring their stunning their new ´Sophia`style. I have a habit of carrying a lot of stuff with me; hence why this beautiful and spacious rucksack is the perfect go-to bag for every day use.

So, to the big question is – what do I carry around with me every day?

My Top 10 Essentials

1. My iPhone – never (ever) leaves my sight

2. My new Prada wallet – a gift from me to me

3. Keys

4. Vaseline

5. Bobbi Brown lipstick (Ballet Pink)

6. My trusted Tangle Teezer – my hair saviour

7. Headphones – a necessity on the tube!

8. Earrings – just in case of impromptu after work drinks or a last minute dinner date with my husband

9. My favourite Prada sunnies

10. Some lightweight heels – the classic Floret shoe from L.K Bennet it the perfect go-to heel that goes with just about everything!

How To Style a Rucksack

Well, in my opinion, there are so many ways to style a rucksack; especially if the style is classic and particularly when it´s in black. As the shape and style of the rucksack is quite minimal and polished; I styled it how I would wear it on a regular day-to-day basis for a more relaxed look – when I am often just in my denim cut-off´s and a simple shirt.

Although the bag is minimal in it´s clean lines and design – it´s still such a statement piece with the the gold brass details, suede and leather combination and the beautiful soft grainy leather. As mentioned, it´s super versatile and the perfect Autumn investment piece – which will take me through countless seasons to come.

(Another big bonus? It´s the perfect city holiday bag, and will be just the thing I need for my upcoming honeymoon to Sydney and Hong Kong!)

These bangles. They´re pretty much perfect, and go so well with my existing jewellery and my love of mixing silver and gold together. Stacked up or on their own, they´re super chic and elegant, adding a nice touch to an otherwise clean and minimal outfit.

Sale season is the perfect time to invest in classic, timeless pieces – which will stand time, and form part of your go-to capsule wardrobe. This stunning silk blazer from one of my favourite designer brands, Theory, is no exception. It´s perfect; I love the double breasted shape and cut – it´s so flattering and chic, and goes so easily with just about anything, from a casual denim look to an LBD on a night out.

One of my best sale investments I have made to date!

Pure Flow at The Bulgari Hotel, London

Leading up to our honeymoon, I have been working hard to stay in shape and eating healthy, making sure I feel, and look my upmost best. I recently had the pleasure of visiting the stunning Spa at The Bulgari Hotel & Residences in Knightsbridge for an event – so I was over the moon, when I was invited back again to try one of their body treatments!

The Treatment

I decided to go for one of their most recent treatment additions to the spa menu, called Pure Flow, which is completly exclusive to the Bulgari Spa. The treatment is designed to flush out the lymphatic drainage system, decreasing the amount of fluid retention in the legs. It also helps to boost kidney function, by regulating salt levels in the body thereby decreasing the amount of fluid the body will hold. Sounds like the perfect treatment for me (hello shorts/bikini season!).

It is probably up there with one of the strangest treatments I have ever had (a long with the strangest looking!). You are connected to the machine with this body wrap (which goes over your clothes) and a heart monitor that pumps air to massage your legs and thighs following your heartbeat. At first, it feels very strange and intense, but that sensation eases off after a few minutes, and it actually feels really good (strangely I even managed to fall asleep for a few minutes, even though it was so powerful!).

The purpose and theory behind Pure Flow is that is stimulates your circulation – which is extra beneficial if you´re embarking on a detox, if you have stiff muscles or achy joints. It´s meant to invigorate and uplift your body and legs, making you feel lighter and more flexible. I had the treatment following a hard exercise session, so it felt extra nice on my sore muscles!

Straight after the treatment and the following days, my legs felt so light and my whole body felt awoken and energised! Yes, it´s a strange concept and treatment initially, but after feeling the effects straight away, I can safely say I am converted (and coming back for more!).

I only tested a single session (and noticed the effects straight away) – they do however recommend the treatment as a course, to see maximum effects.

The Spa Facilities

Now about the spa… It´s beyond stunning. It´s super private (hence the quality of the pictures using my iPhone and not whipping out my big SLR camera!) and so quiet and tranquil. It was haven from start to finish; excellent service (as expected), amazing facilities comprising of two fitness rooms, steam rooms, saunas, ice showers, 11 treatment rooms, one luxurious private spa suite and a relaxation room (the latter of which had a built in fireplace, which was so relaxing!), and not to mention – they have the largest indoor pool in London! One of my favourite facilities was their vitality pool (pictured below), which had a variety of full body massage jets – so nice.

Steam and sauna rooms, with an ice shower; the heat and cold contrast is so good for boosting circulation and tightening your skin!

The day was amazing, and exceeded my every expectation – thank you to The Bulgari Hotel and Bacchus PR for having me!

H&M Trend Coat / Zara T-Shirt / Selected Femme Pants (similar here) / Repetto Ballerinas / Prada Sunglasses

To say I am obsessed with this beauty of a coat, would be a massive understatement. The colour, the fit, the textured quality… It´s so amazing – and the fact that is looks more like something from Etro or Missoni, than high street chain H&M – is always a bonus!

I´m keeping my look simple here with understated components such as a simple grey marl tee and black pants – letting the the coat stay in focus!

Wedding Series: Bobbi Brown Make-Up

I´ve had a lot of messages and questions about my make-up for the wedding – so here goes! As mentioned in this previous post, I went to the Bobbi Brown make-up counter in Liberty´s for a wedding make-up trial. There we discussed what look I was after, alongside what colours I liked and what would work best for my complexion, colour of the dress, weather, etc.

I can’t even begin to tell you how useful this was! My make-up artists created a beautiful look, of which everything she used was written down, alongside step-by-step instruction for the big day. It made everything so much easier.

The Look: I was after natural and glowing make-up, with focus on the eyes and softer lips. Warm and golden tones with a touch of soft pink.

Product Overview

The Base: Hydrating Eye Cream, Hydrating Face Cream (works as a primer too), Hydrating Face Toner & Soothing Cleansing Oil – all from here.

Long-wear Gel Eyeliner (Caviar Ink), Eyeshadows (Bone, Saddle & Slate) & Long-wear Cream Shadow (Beach Bronze)

The Result

I couldn´t have been happier with the end result! It was beautiful; polished, yet natural. The make-up lasted all day (with much help from the face cream primer), with no smudges or marks (even in 30 degrees heat!).

Thank you Bobbi Brown for helping me feel that extra special on the big day!

Amanzi Tea Maker

amanzi amanzi-2

I am a tea-a-holic. There are so many amazing tea´s out there; I am still working my way through the tea section in Whole Foods, testing out everything from herbal teas for detoxification, to berry fruit teas to improve skin and energy.

I´ve never had an actual tea maker before with loose leaf tea – so I was pretty excited to find this amazing invention from Amanzi. It´s now – bar my beloved Vitamix and juicer – the most used kitchen accessory I have! Simply place the tea leaves into the brewer, add hot water and wait. After the tea has steeped the right amount of time (3-5 min, depending on how strong you like your tea), place the infuser on top of a mug and the tea will automatically pour into your mug through a release mechanism – so easy (and genius!).

Right now I´m enjoying the Orange Blossom tea and Detox tea – both are good for detoxification, cleansing and increases your metabolism (I have the Orange Blossom in the morning to kick start things, and have the Detox in the afternoon). It´s also perfect to bring with me on my honeymoon/travels as it´s so lightweight and small – win win.

Amanzi Tea Maker, £19.99 – shop from the 24 New Cavendish Street boutique in London, or order by phone at: tel:+442079355510
