What better way to ring in the New Year than with my favorite champagne Veuve Clicquot (£35). I picked this one up from a local wine shop and it’s even got a reusable protective cover on it – perfect for picnics in the summer!
[LIFESTYLE] CANON EOS 600D Digital SLR Camera
Ok, I have to admit, I didn’t actually buy this myself. It was in fact a Christmas gift. Just felt I had to post about as it will most likely make a significant difference to my blog and quality of pictures going forward! I thought it deserved it’s own post to make this change. To any semi-pros or pros out there – please bear with me as I am new to SLR’s and hopefully the pictures will get better as I go along :)
NEW IN // Sale! Zara Black Silk Lace Top
I picked up this cute top in the Zara sale today (£16.99). I had seen it in a cream colour a while back, but wasn’t too keen on the material. This one in black is so much nicer and looks a lot more expensive than what it is – not as gorgeous as the Maje lace top from SS11 which I still regret to this day I didn’t get – but it will do the trick for a season or two.
Style tip: Dress it up with skinny jeans and stilettos for a night out on the town, or wear it with a skirt, flats and a blazer for a chic, yet smart office look.

[LIFESTYLE] ‘The Night Circus’ by Erin Morgenstern
I am a huge fan of Harry Potter and although no storyline can ever replace it’s magic and amazing characters, I was delighted when I heard about The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern a few months ago. It has already received rave reviews and I can’t wait to start reading it! Get your copy here for £6.50.
“The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night.”
NEW IN // Sale! Juicy Couture Ruffled Cotton-Terry Robe
I bought this cute Juicy Couture dressing gown on sale NET-A-PORTER for £45. I have been looking for a lighter robe for spring/summer and this one has super cute frill detailing and is so soft. I am not usually a big fan of Juicy Couture’s clothing but I like the lounge clothes with it’s bright colours and feminine cuts. I can’t wait to ditch my blue fleece robe for this one when it’s a bit warmer!
[BEAUTY] Ole Henriksen Herbal Day Creme SPF 15
This is the second time I have bought this Ole Henriksen creme and I am really happy with the results so far! Although I took a few months break from it – as I felt it was more of a summer cream – I have yet to have found anything better and am glad I have it back for the winter. It gives my skin an instant glow and it smells amazing. It also has SPF15, which is a definite must for me.
If you are looking for a cream suited to normal/combination skin, with loads of moisture (but not too greasy) and with antioxidants, this is the cream for you. Get it from Look Fantastic or Ole Henriksen for £31.
NEW IN // Barbour Ladies Wool Angora Cable
I picked up this Barbour cream cable scarf from their Covent Garden store today. It’s a Christmas present for a girlfriend and I think she will love it. You can’t really go wrong with the colour, and the style is really classic.
You can get it here.
NEW IN // Zara Wolf Print Knitted Jumper
I picked up this knitted jumper from Zara today (£35) – yes, I know I get a lot from there – but this print with the studded detailing was too cute to resist! I got it in size S and it fits perfectly without being to figure-hugging.
Style tip: Dress up a knitted jumper with leather or silk skirt/shorts, creating an instant edge to your outfit. Here I am pairing it with my silk shorts from Gap, black Falke tights and vintage boots from Portobello market.
Available in UK stores now.
NEW IN // DKNY Ava Suede Cage Sandals
I had these DKNY shoes delivered today from this place and I am thrilled with them! I must admit I wasn’t 100% sure I liked all the detailing when I ordered them – I liked the overall style (a bit similar to the Jimmy Choo ones), but not the mesh fabric in between the leather straps. Anyways, they look great on, good quality suede, solid leather soles and a really perfect heel height. I’m usually a Size 5/EU 38, but I got these a half-size down after specific instructions on the site. To be honest, I even think I could get away with a whole-size down. But always good to leave a bit of room for the toes I guess!
Style tip: Pair them together with a crisp white shirt and black skinny jeans to add an instant edge to a classic office outfit.
Get your pair from NET-A-PORTER.
