I picked up these cute ceramic door knobs from Portobello Market this morning. I think I might just replace them with the black ones I have on our TV shelf – what do you think? They cost £7 for a pair. A steal!

I picked up this cute jacket from the Zara sale today – reduced from £89 to £49. I’ve had my eye on it all season so I was a happy girl when I found it in the sale. I got the last one left in my size and I absolutely love it. Although it’s partly wool and will be a relatively warm jacket, I can see myself wearing this through the spring and summer or even as a smart office jacket. I love the masculine shape with the bright white leather adding some femininity to the jacket. Once again, another piece with some elements of contrasts, which I love.
Style Tip: To go all the way with the monochrome look – let the jacket carry the whole outfit, by wearing it with black trousers, a black top and some pointy heels. A perfect ‘power-outfit’ for the office or a night out. Or, add the jacket to a relatively casual outfit, which I am wearing here, with some black skinny jeans, a casual t-shirt and some flats. Such a versatile piece!
After signing up for some PT sessions on Monday, I decided to order these Reebok Easytone trainers from Amazon. They were on sale online for £39.99. I have been wanting to get a pair of Easytone’s for a while now – I guess I have been curious to see if they actually work and “tone the bottom’, after reading both negative and positive reviews. Obviously I don’t think a pair of shoes will give me the body of my dreams – a lot of actual exercise goes into that – but they must be good for something, if only burning off some extra calories?
I ordered them in white and blue, but regretting it slightly and might get a black pair instead. I also find them slightly bulky and heavy. Considering getting these instead – what do you think?
I popped into the center of town today to look at the end of sale – only to end up at the vintage shop Beyond Retro in Soho after escaping the chaos. I found this linen and silk black blazer from Lillie Rubin for £35. The quality of the material and lining is amazing and it has really nice detailing on the shoulders. It’s a slim fitting “boyfriend” shape. Love it!
I was on a mission for some new earrings today. I wanted some dangly ones for the weekend and found these cute leaf-style ones from Topshop (£5). They will add a feminine touch to my all-black outfit I’m planning on wearing!

I bought some Personal Training sessions today. I am very active anyways, but I like to kick-start the new year with extra motivation, and a few PT sessions work for me. I suffer from a bad back and knees so it’s super important that I do things right. A few years ago it was all about being slim and toned – no matter how I got there. This is still of course the main driving factor, but it’s important that I learn what works for me. My trainer offers boxing in her sessions as well – which I’m super excited about. I find this the best way of releasing stress!
Now, I just need to get a new gym kit… Watch this space.
Hope you all have had a nice weekend so far? I was a good girl and didn’t drink last night – it’s amazing how really good food can take away the craving for alcohol. Not to mention how nice it was not waking up to a banging headache.
I popped into the H&M store in High Street Kensington earlier today (one of the few stores in London which stock the H&M Trend collection). The new season pieces from Trend is amazing – neon coloured knits, tailored pants and textured tops and skirts. Although I didn’t actually buy anything from this particular collection, I managed to find this cute red dress on sale for £15 (reduced from £24.99)! I love the ‘sport-luxe’ feel of the dress, with the racerback and stretchy-viscose material. I can’t wait to wear this with some sandals and a nice tan in the summer!
As mentioned in a previous post, I am trying not to drink this month. I guess it will be a test tonight at a friends dinner party! I bought this lovely red wine to bring for the host – a Covila Crianza 2007 (£9.99). A full-bodied wine – just what I like. Let’s see how strong my willpower is then…
I have to shoot – I’m off on a run to the park with my dog, then hitting the shops in town and maybe grabbing some lunch at Automat! Perfect Saturday.
