[WIBT LOVES] My Jewellery Box

Apr 30, 2012 by Anneli in FASHION 3 COMMENTS❤❤ TAGS: jewellery, sneek peek

As you can see I am a big fan of arm candy with a mixture of different styles, colours and value – from vintage to market finds, designer to high street. I particularly like stacking gold and silver together and playing with contrasts to create something interesting. I often dress down and just play with the accessories as they can totally change the end result of an outfit.

My current obsession is my neon bracelets combined with clean silver chains. Next week, who knows?

OUTFIT // Monochrome & Balenciaga

Apr 29, 2012 by Anneli in Uncategorized 2 COMMENTS❤❤ TAGS: balenciaga, leather, outfit

I digged out my old oversized Balenciaga bag yesterday – it definitely adds that pop colour to a simple, understated outfit.

I am wearing my Balenciaga bag (similar from here) with a leather jacket from TK Maxx, Topshop scalloped edge top, J Brand skinny jeans and Uterque booties.

[BEAUTY] Hourglass Cosmetics

Apr 28, 2012 by Anneli in BEAUTY COMMENT ❤ HERE TAGS: cosmetics, hourglass

I received some beauty products today from Hourglass Cosmetics, which I ordered from Zuneta – a new luxury cosmetics site I’ve just discovered.

Hourglass Cosmetics is a luxury makeup brand which contains anti-aging ingredients and are paraben, fragrance and cruelty free – which are always elements I try to source out when I shop beauty prouducts.

As my tired blusher brush from Sephora (à la) 2009 has just given in, I decided to invest in the Finishing Brush (£48).

On site info: The brush hairs are made from PETA-approved Takelon bristles. The benefit to using Takelon is that it cannot hold bacteria. If you use real hair brushes and you don’t wash them after use, you will be susceptible to cross contamination and breakouts.

I’m also running low on my MAC concealer, so as I was already online and shopping (as you do) I thought I would give this Hidden Corrective Concealer a go (£23).

On site info: A creamy, weightless concealer that blends easily into the skin for an undetectable finish. Instantly improves the appearance of dark spots, blemishes, and fine lines. Enriched with vitamin E and coconut oil to soften the skin and provide a protective layer.

A review will follow. Watch this space.

[LIFESTYLE] Flowers & Michael Kors

Apr 27, 2012 by Anneli in FASHION, LIFESTYLE 5 COMMENTS❤❤ TAGS: flowers, michael kors watch

I had a lovely send off last night with my colleagues who bought me gorgeous flowers and this beauty of a watch from Micheal Kors, £180 (stainless steel chronograph watch.) As you might recall I already have one in a silver/gold combination, but I managed to misplace it whilst on holiday in Spain – so it was perfect timing! I love the clean silver tone, it looks great in contrast with my neon bracelets.

From NET-A-PORTER.

Have a great Friday everyone! I’m hitting Yauatcha in Soho for some very overdue Dim Sum and Lychee Martini’s.

Future

A lot of exciting changes in my life at the moment. I have always wanted to keep this blog personal and aside from where I work, but all I can say is that I’ll be entering into a very exciting chapter of my life career wise – and I hope you will join me.

[FASHION] Alexander McQueen Leopard Skull Silk-chiffon Scarf

Apr 26, 2012 by Anneli in FASHION 3 COMMENTS❤❤ TAGS: A.L.C., alexander mcqueen, FASHION, outfit, paul's boutique, scarf

This amazing silk scarf from Alexander McQueen arrived today. I have wanted one forever, but never really found one that I absolutely love. I fell for the length, body and size of this one – I like a big scarf that can properly be wrapped around or used as a shawl – simply said, a scarf which is more than just decorative. I am also a big fan of leopard prints, so this was the perfect combination.

Get it from here.

I am wearing it with a fine knit cashmere jumper from A.L.C, Paul’s Boutique jeans and new Uterqüe booties.

[LIFESTYLE] Planet Organic

Apr 25, 2012 by Anneli in LIFESTYLE 1 COMMENT❤ TAGS: organic food, planet organic

I was told to go to Planet Organic by my nutritionist a few weeks ago, so I popped in to the Westbourne Grove branch today to buy a few bits she recommended. I was impressed by the store – it had a a fresh groceries and deli section, a manageable shopping area (I can’t handle too many choices when I food shop), and even a café in the corner. Definitely one of my new favorite food shops!

SHOPPING LIST:

- Organic Amisa Gluten Free Pure Porridge Oats, £2.69

- Alara Pure Oats Gluten Free Porridge, £2.99

I love my porridge, so I got two different options. It’s recommended to soak the oats overnight (better for the stomach) and have them for breakfast either cold or heated, with seeds and nuts such as almonds and shelled hemp seeds (see below). No fruit though – always eat that separate from a main meal. Super nutritious and will keep you fuller for longer.

- BiOFAIR Organic FairTrade Quinoa Grain, £3.89

This super food is great alternative for someone who is trying to lay of the carbs or wants a substitute for meat. Again, very nutritious and slow-releasing so will really fill you up.

- Planet Organic Millet, £1.69

There is a lot of nutrition in millet and it contains a fair amount of protein (15%). Because it doesn’t form acid when digesting, millet is easy to digest, so very good for the stomach if you have problems with bloating, etc. It is thought to be the most non-allergenic grains and the most digestible. Another great alternative to meat for vegetarians or as a side dish with fish and vegetables.

- Virginia Harvest Shelled Hemp Seeds, £3.69

These crunchy seeds are fantastic for sprinkling onto salads, adding to smoothies, porridge or an in-between meal snack. Hemp seeds are also very rich in protein, vitamins and minerals – so yummy all around.

ENJOY!

WISH LIST // Venessa Arizaga Bracelet

Apr 25, 2012 by Anneli in Uncategorized COMMENT ❤ HERE TAGS: accessories, venessa arizaga, wishlist

I don’t think I can resist this beauty of a bracelet from Venessa Arizaga, £165 (I really should – been shopping way to much this month.) It has just about everything I like in one piece – threaded neon colours, a rough gunmetal chain combined with feminine, diamanté embellishment. Come on.

Get it from here.

OUTFIT // Black & Peach

Apr 24, 2012 by Anneli in Uncategorized 2 COMMENTS❤❤ TAGS: dinner, jil sander, outfit, zara

Sporting my new Zara heels (already a wardrobe favourite) to dinner and drinks in Fitzrovia. Once again, sorry for the grainy picture – it will have to make do when it’s just me and the mirror I am afraid! By the way can you spot Marvin in the right hand corner? He seems to love the camera just as much as his mama does.

I am wearing my new heels with Zara jeans, Jil Sander cape and Kain t-shirt.
