I remember when I was like 15 years old, my best friend at the time brought home a book by Kevyn Aucoin from the U.S. It was all about teaching you how to apply make-up, different looks, styles and tips & tricks. It was our make-up bible and sacred to us for so many years.

Sadly, Kevin Aucoin passed away at a very young age in 2002, but his spirit lives on in his amazing beauty products. I’ve been after a cream blush for this summer, so when I came across this one from here in the colour ‘Isadore’, £19, I just had to try it out (and it just happens, it brings back some real good teenage memories.)

[FASHION] Vero Moda Very Lily Lace Top

Here is the Vero Moda Very (£29) top from this post – better late than never I guess? I have always been weak for lace – particularly lace made from lovely thick cotton (never synthetic). The detailing and shape of the top is amazing. I’ve been wearing it loads with jeans for a more casual style – but also smarter by adding some leather and booties for a night out.

I am wearing the top with Zara leather skirt, Whistles leather satchel, Rayban Wayfarer’s, Michael Kors watch and Pull & Bear suede booties.

[FASHION] Vila Roca Blazer

Do you remember this post? Well finally, here it is – the ‘Miami Vice’ style blazer (as I like to call it) from Vila, £49. It’s perfect. Oversized, made from thin cotton/linen mix, in a great boxy shape.

Style Tip: As the blazer is oversized and non-fit – wear it with something feminine and slim such as a short skirt or even skinny jeans and killer heels.

I am wearing the blazer with a Zara leather skirt, Gap t-shirt, Lindex sunglasses, Michael Kors watch, Chanel 2.55 and Alexandre Birman python pumps.

So, the destination was….drumroll….Puerto Banus in Marbella. Yes, really, again! It feels like only yesterday when I was here at Easter. As my partner is fortunate enough to have a place down here where it’s so beautiful and tranquil - it was the perfect place to swoop my sister away. I am truly looking forward to amazing food, good chat, a lot of wine – and a few naughty nights out at this place.

The only thing really missing is one of the beauties above…

Never one for opting for just standard black; let’s face it, a golden tan looks best with some colour contrast. Opting for a bandeau style of course, best shape in terms of ease, comfort and tan lines. My favourite? The top one from Lisa Marie Fernandez + Peter Pilotto. Scuba style in aqua colours. Delicioso!

[BEAUTY] Philip Kingsley Swimcap

So, holiday time (I know, again). The destination will be revealed shortly, as it’s a surprise for my sister’s hen do – who reads my blog religiously (well, she says she does). As we speak, she is probably being kidnapped by her friends in Norway who will take her to the airport. We’ll all meet up at the final destination for a fun-packed hen weekend – classy and sophisticated, no doubt.

As always, I like to be prepared for my holiday – both beauty and outfit option wise (overweight luggage is standard). So in terms of beauty products for this holiday, I have amongst some other essentials, acquired Philip Kingsley Swimcap (£16.95 for 150ml). I’m very familiar with the brand and the man – he’s a true legend within hair care, haven worked with numerous celebrity icons for over 45 years. Needless to say I was really excited to try his new holiday product range.

So, what exactly is Swimcap?

It’s basically sun, swim & weather protection for your hair. It guards against discolouration and damage caused by weathering from sun (UV protection), chlorine, salt water and wind – whilst providing a super conditioning treatment for your hair.

How to use it?

It’s for all hair types. Prior to exposure, apply in sections to dampened hair, work or comb through evenly. Always reapply after swimming. Once exposure to weather/water is over, wash and condition hair as usual.

My initial worry was the liquid stinging when I went swimming, and that it would leave my hair greasy. I was reassured it does neither – it sinks straight in to your hair and scalp, leaving your hair super soft. I for one can’t wait to use it – in only a few hours if I’m lucky!

[FASHION] Marni for H&M Leather Patent Jacket

So, after a lot of lusting (and regret that I didn’t buy it the first time around) I purchased this gorgeous Marni for H&M from eBay, for just £46 (reduced from £149.99 – in store price). SO happy. The quality is amazing – granted it’s quite heavy – the fit is great. Such a continuity style, and I love the black and navy combination!

It will look just as good with a casual outfit with jeans and flats – as well as with a more dressed up, or even feminine outfit. Versatile, is the word. Always a key element in my wardrobe.

I am wearing it with Current/Elliot leopard print pants, Gap top, YSL Muse and Michael Kors watch.

[FASHION] Silver Heart Ring

New in is this cute silver heart ring for my pinky finger (£7.99). I actually picked it up in Edinburgh from a silver market stall a few weekends ago – I’m running a bit behind uploading all my new purchases (there is a lot more to come!).

As I’m sure you’ve noticed from some previous posts, I love my hearts. Here, here and here. So when I found this one at the market, it was kind of meant to be (even though my friends tried putting me on a shopping ban for the weekend).

Yes, I am a shopaholic, I admit it.

On another note, I’m stressing like mad to get ready for my mini-holiday tomorrow. So much I need to get ready – not enough hours in one day! Story of my life.
