Another beautiful piece from Bijoux by Desi F to add to my jewellery collection. I wanted to add some colour to my necklace collection, so I opted for this stunning 14K goldfilled necklace with a blue quartz stone. The colour is great, which looks just as nice on it’s own, or even layered with some of my other gold chains!

One of the things you wanted to see more from me in the new year, was party and evening wear posts. Well, consider this the first request granted (and many more to come of course!).
I go out a lot during the week, be it for dinner, drinks with friends or dancing. As I’ve got older I do enjoy the ‘dinner and drinks’ part much more, and for that I often dress up in pants/trousers, rather than dresses. A great pair of tailored pants can look so elegant on a night out, especially when you add some leather and statement accessories, to really ‘vamp’ up the outfit. A leather jacket can really pull it all together, making it more edgy, yet still looking dressed up. My jaw nearly dropped when I found these gorgeous booties from REISS, on sale. To me, they are perfection. I love the navy/black combo and the scalloped edge in patent leather – so unique! They’re surprisingly comfortable (admittedly, my feet were killing on NYE after dancing for 3 hours), but that was extreme I guess.

New in is this space print t-shirt from Forever 21. As I’ve said before, Forever 21 isn’t one of favourites on the high street, but sometimes I can find some really great pieces, such as this t-shirt. It’s a great fit, made from 100% cotton, and I love the space print! It looks great with jeans for a casual look, or even better; adding some glam with a shearling gilet, or a leather skirt to add some femininity to the overall look. And who can argue with this price?

You all know I’m a sucker for neon, so needless to say I couldn’t resist this neon pink cable knit hat from H&M! I love to keep the overall outfit simple in it’s elements; black skinny jeans, boots and leather jacket, and then play on bright accessories. Great shape and all worth while for just £5.99!

I picked up this fab jumper whilst browsing through Primrose Hill, one of my favourite areas in London. I found it in Mary Portas’s second hand shop, although it turned out to be brand new with the tag on! As you all know, I love a good statement jumper, to bring life to an otherwise muted and plain outfit. The jumper is made from beautiful silk and wool, and definitely going to be a wardrobe favourite for a good while!

Not the glitzy outfit I was after, but hey, it was pouring down, and I was going to a rooftop party! I went to Topshop in hunt for the dresses in my Wish List the other day, but they were sadly sold out in my size. I did however pick up some pieces that I ended up wearing, I will you show you better pictures and descriptions later on in the week! I loved my make up as well – the lipstick is such a great colour and the eyeshadow gives a nice, warm glow. I also curled my hair with my new, amazing curling tongs from Remington (a Christmas present from my BF). Why didn’t I invest in tongs before? Looks super fab when brushed out for a softer and more natural look.

Thank you for supporting and reading my blog… This blog would not still be standing and improving without any of you guys! 2012 has been my best year to date – including starting this blog and getting engaged.
In 2013 I will be entering into another chapter of my life; planning for our wedding, becoming an aunt for the first time, renovating my second flat in London (which I will share with you in the blog), travelling to new, exciting destinations and developing this blog to another level (watch this space). I can’t wait!

Sadly I’m not spoilt for choices this year when it comes to a new year’s outfit – we’re currently still living in temporary accommodation with family; the majority of my dresses and party wear is still in storage. This has meant recycling a lot of clothing and being creative (wearing a lot more skirts, than dresses). I am tempted to buy either of these two dresses from Topshop (on sale now) and adding glam with more luxurious accessories. Either going all out with a gold ‘disco’ dress – or classy with a more demure ‘flapper’ style.

I have put together some of the highlight gifts from Christmas, including a scented candle from Jo Malone, a curling tong from Remington (already my new best friend), personalised bathrobe, studded leather loafers from Bertie, knee-high boots from Kurt Geiger, perfume from Byredo, vintage gold watch from Sekonda, the cutest make-up case from Ted Baker, and some more bits which I will show you later on.
One of the best surprises was a trip to Croatia in May from my fiancee – as I will soon be sharing with you, we are currently preparing for our wedding over there (although, it’s not before Spring 2014, there is a lot of planning to be done!). In the new year, I will be sharing inspiration and sneek peek’s in preparation for the big day.
Just a little note… In the end of the day this blog is about shopping and superficial things in life. I love sharing with you my latest purhcases, outfits and finds – this blog has turned into a real escapism for me, where I can write, create and put things together to hopefully inspire you readers. However Christmas is also a time to reflect upon the less fortunate, those who have little or are without family and friends. Christmas is a time of giving and receiving, and I’m by no means trying to pretend that I don’t enjoy doing this myself (being fortunate enough to do so). This doesn’t mean I don’t reflect upon the much more important things in life; being healthy, having an amazing family and being financially stable. There are far more important things I care about than having nice things. Christmas is good time to remind myself how lucky I am, be aware, help where I can, and not to take anything for granted.
