I picked up my favorite lashes from Superdrug – Eylure Naturalites ‘Evening Wear’ (£4.95) for a night out yesterday.  They are by a mile the best affordable and re-usable lashes I have tried.

Step-by-Step: The lashes come with a small tube of applicable glue, which you carefully line along the hard strip on the lash. It can get a bit messy if it’s your first time as your hands need to be pretty steady, but you will quickly get the hang of it. After the glue has settled for around 30 seconds, carefully line it along your real lashes and press down when it hits the root of your lashes. Gently push down to make sure it’s stuck to the root. Then, as a little trick, I blow hot air from the hair-dryer, both from above and underneath, just making sure they are properly stuck on. Then you’re all done!

Tip: Before putting on the eyelashes, add a thick line of eyeliner and some dark eyeshadow on the edges, for an added ‘glam’ effect.

I wore my vintage feather bolero, a grey-marl tank from American Apparel, black Zara leather skirt, my new Falke tights and a vintage Christian Dior clutch. I went for dinner and drinks at Automat and then to the new club Kitts in Sloane Square, with a close friend who is visiting from Stockholm.
