[FASHION] #9 Holiday: Denim & Neutrals

Last outfit from my holiday wardrobe marathon! Hope you’ve enjoyed it it… Now, all I want to do is turn back time, and be in that heat again! The weather in London is miserable and cold, and my tan is fading by the minute…

I really want to jump into this particular outfit, so simple! Denim shorts, a white t-shirt and a lightweight cotton jacket. You just can’t go wrong! Ah…if only.

Which outfit was your favourite?

Tomorrow, I will show you my new hair after my trip to Vidal Sassoon over the weekend!

[OUTFIT] #7 Holiday: Denim & Check

I am dreaming back to my holiday last weekend (and a wardrobe consisting mainly of skirts/shorts and dresses). My holiday wardrobe diary is coming to an end very soon (only a couple more outfits to go after this) – hope you’ve enjoyed the week-long blog special!

This was one of my more casual looks from the holiday, for strolling around the city. These shorts are one of my favourites – quite high waisted and loose (and not too short), teamed with a casual plaid shirt (a classic and fail-safe combo).

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!

[FASHION] #4 Holiday: Urban Outfitters Printed Jumpsuit

Jumpsuit: Urban Outfitters (£25, shop jumpsuits here) / Bikini: ASOS / Sandals: Accessorize (similar here) / Sunglasses: Jimmy Choo / Necklaces: Bijoux by Desi F

This new, super cute jumpsuit from Urban Outfitters, is such a great holiday piece! It’s really lightweight in thin cotton – so the perfect piece to just jump in over a bikini. The print is great, and again, really wearable; I could have easily worn it with some heels and blazer for a night out. It’s also got a really nice tie detailing on the back; if you want more fitted or loose.

In general, Urban Outfitters are having quite a fashion moment, with such strong collections. Loads of ethnic inspired prints and colours (right up my street) – perfect for the summer and upcoming festival season! They’ve also got a great selection of bikinis, sandals and bags… Yep, in other words, pretty dangerous for the likes of moi.

[FASHION] #1 Holiday: Vero Moda Printed Jacket

Ok, I’m back! For you guys who’ve been following me on Instagram (@anneliwillis), have probably seen all my pictures from my holiday in Split in Croatia – an absolute paradise! As I mentioned in my previous blog post – we went there to source our venue and many other things in preparation for our wedding there next May – and within the first day, we found our dream venue – SO exciting! In my opinion, Croatia is one of the most beautiful countries in Europe, as parts of it are still so untouched and the scenery is incredibly dramatic. We’re already planning our next holiday there for later on this summer to do some more exploring and island hopping!

Back to my outfit… I bought a load of new summer pieces in the days leading up to my holiday – all of which will be shown in a holiday wardrobe diary day-by-day. This outfit was taken on the first day, when we were on the venue hunt; and being an overcast day, I wore my new lightweight cotton jacket from Vero Moda. It’s so beautiful, and slightly Isabel Marant-ish, with it’s embroidery, colour and fit. Love it!

[BEAUTY] Holiday Essentials: Thalgo & Malin+Goetz

Thalgo Hydra Soothing Lotion (£25), Thalgo Age Defence Sun Lotion Spf15 (£25), Thalgo Age Defence Sun Cream SPF 30 (£22.50) & Malin+Goetz Essential Travel Kit (£19).

In preparation for my holiday tomorrow, I’ve got some new holiday essentials from Thalgo and Malin+Goetz. The older I get, the more aware I am of my skin and it’s exposure under the sun (not so much back in the day when I was living in Australia, hardly wearing sun lotion – BIG mistake). Even though I’ve  got slight sun damage from all my years travelling and living abroad in sunny Barcelona – it’s never not too late to invest in proper sun care.

Thalgo, is a great brand which works well with my skin, so I was curios to try out their sun care range! I have opted for SPF30 for my face and SPF15 on my body, although I might bring along some higher factor for my body – all depending on the weather.

Something I’ve always been after, is a small travel kit containing all your necessary products… Welcome Malin+Goetz Essential Travel Kit - you are exactly what I was after. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, body cream and face cream. Yes, just about everything I need for a weekend trip!

Now, I need to rush and pack my bags for my (way too early) flight to Croatia tomorrow morning! I hate to pack. It’s the worst part of the holiday. For someone who is super organised and efficient when it comes to just about everything in life – this is my one weakness. As I’m such a spontaneous dresser, and dress according to my mood – I am not one of those who likes to plan their outfits day by day in advance. I rather pack loads (way too many) options, and chop and change. Obviously, this has resulted in the past with a missing jacket, jumper, trouser to match a certain outfit etc., but it’s the way I do it. I do however have a few super cute outfit combos I intend to wear, which are all recent purchases (going on the blog as soon as I’m back). Can’t wait to show you!

As always, I am not disappearing completely – with daily posts scheduled in. See you on the other side!

[FASHION] F&F Printed Bandeau Top

F&F Printed Bandeau Top, £8.99 (similar here and here).

In preparation for my holiday to Croatia next Thursday – I’ve been on the lookout for some nice bikinis. I am a big fan of mix & match with bikinis – often opting for colourful tops (always in a bandeau shape) and my trusted black bottoms.

It was pretty much love at first sight when I spotted this multicoloured leopard printed bikini top – yes, sounds pretty hideous – but it actually works, and the neon will look fab with a tan! I didn’t get the whole set, as I think it would have been too OTT.

Now, all I have to work on is prepping my bikini body for the beach… I’m on day 5 of the juicing, and finally feeling better (after the first 3/4 first days of feeling like hell). A full juice report, with a day to day diary, will follow on Saturday!

[WIBT TRAVEL] Marrakech

marrakech

By the time you are reading this, I’m in Marrakech! We jetted off there early this morning with my whole family for a surprise trip for my father’s 60th birthday. I can’t wait to spend long days trawling through the souks (the local markets), trekking through the Atlas Mountains, and relaxing at my favourite spa, Les Bains de Marrakech.

Although I’ve realised I have accumulated far too much stuff since moving – I am still hoping to find some gems in the souks, maybe some nice embroidered leather boots or silver jewellery? As always, I am never too far away from the blog – so I have scheduled in a few posts over the weekend (in case I don’t get on any Internet!).

Blogging and watching Christmas movies. My idea of heaven. // Christmas morning!

It’s been raining non-stop all week except for a few rays of sunshine come through in the garden on Christmas morning! // What’s a French Christmas feast without patisserie cakes? YUM.

Red for Christmas. Muuaa! // This is what a Christmas holiday is all about – PJ’s and TV.

I also got a OnePiece for Christmas (note: not to wear outside the front door!), but literally the most comfiest thing I have ever owned. // My darling Marvin.

Best Christmas present ever! A Bulldog iPhone case from Marc by Marc Jacobs. // My new oversized gold retro watch from Sekonda.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

Dec 24, 2012 by Anneli in LIFESTYLE 4 COMMENTS❤❤ TAGS: 2012, christmas, Holiday, thank you

Happy Christmas everyone!

Hope you all have an amazing holiday, spending it with family and friends. Sadly I’m not with my own family this year (my parents are sunning it up in Australia and my sister and her husband are in the snowy mountains of Norway), but we’ll be having post celebrations in January (any excuse to extend the celebrations!). I’m spending Christmas with my fiancée and his family by the seaside, and the festive fun has truly begun.

A huge thank you to all you guys for following and supporting me this year. I have a lot of exiting things happening next year, and I can’t wait to share it all with you!

Lots of love,

Anneli x
