Candles, an absolute necessity in all shapes and forms (and scents, of course). I am a big fan of Jo Malone, Voluspa and Malin+Goetz scented candles – but for just standard, sturdy and long-lasting candles, the best ones are without a doubt from Marks & Spencers.

I bought this cute navy polka dot skirt from M&S today (£25). It’s a slim A-line shape which works really well on me. I am also very impressed with the level of quality (considering the price) – it’s fully lined, made from a thick cotton-viscose mix and sturdily hemmed.
As I have said so many times, I love the unexpected and big fan of contrasts - hence wearing polka dots with my new graphic printed jumper from Topshop. I love this combination, but will keep the rest of the outfit simple with black tights, black booties and my trusted gold/silver watch from Michael Kors. Always working a fine balance of ‘more is more’ and ‘less is more’.
