WIBT Shop is on sale now!
I have to admit, I am running on quite a back log with my latest buys and upload of pictures - which is a combination of moving chaos and travelling! I actually bought this shirt a few weeks ago in the Zara sale; it’s near enough perfect, made from thin cotton in a nice, loose shape. Super casual, yet so easy to add a bit of glam with a skirt and boots. A great addition to my ever growing shirt collection!
Shirt from Zara, £17.99 (reduced from £29.99), similar here.
New in is this cute linen leopard printed jumper from Zara, on sale now for £7.99….! Such a great buy. A simple piece, but lovely colour combination in earthy, warm colours. Love it with my leather studded mini skirt, also from Zara (yes, I am obsessed).
Jumper from Zara, bought in the Marble Arch branch (London).
Hope you’re all having a lovely week so far – I’m enjoying a well deserved holiday with family visiting in London, and tomorrow morning we’re off to warmer climates for the weekend! Check in tomorrow to see where…
Speaking about ORANGE… I actually ordered this bag ages ago – but only just got around to picking it up from the post office! How bad is that. Poor Mulberry. Which by the way, is the new love of my life (sorry S). I can’t tell you how long I’ve been longing after this beauty. The components, orange/black tweed combo with a chunky chain, shouldn’t really work – but in my eyes, it just does. It’s unique, yet to me, a classic in my wardrobe – as it reflects my taste in accessories (which has more or less been the same for years.)
This is why (referring to a recent post) I would much rather brighten up the accessories, than the clothes - a piece of accessory can give you much more longevity and versatility, as you can style it with different outfits.
I wore my new bag with a pretty simple and muted outfit, but I intend wearing this bag with just about every colour and print combo – especially come summertime!
Bag from Mulberry, £550, bought on sale from Net-a-Porter (sold out - available here).
I was running around like a headless chicken yesterday (with the flu lurking), prepping for the flat move and organising through all our stuff (well, mainly my stuff). I think I’ve realised I might be a bit of a hoarder; not when it comes to everything, mainly when it come to err, my wardrobe. Now that’s going to be (has to be) sorted out as soon as I’m in the new flat, so watch out in the WIBT SHOP, there’ll no doubt be a lot of new stuff appearing.
Anyways, back to yet another purchase – this ‘teddybear’ jacket, as I like to call it, from Topshop. Think I might have bought it a bit too late in the season as spring seems to be upon us in London, but I just couldn’t resist it on sale when I’d been eyeing it up all season. There’s no hiding I like to be comfortable (being the temperature of an icicle most of the time), so when I can do that in a warm and edgy style in the shape of an oversized biker jacket, I’m sold. Reduced from £110 to £30 (!), this jacket was a steal.
Ok, granted this may be a purchase which many might class as ‘boring’ – nevertheless, a very useful buy, one of which I can see myself wearing a lot. When I say a lot – I mean this single navy/black combo knit (wool/acrylic/cashmere mix), will look great together with so many pieces in my existing wardrobe (which is always useful); such as leather pants, leather mini skirt, denim jeans, printed skirt, over a white shirt, etc.
What I’m basically trying to say is, never underestimate the power of a good knit.
Jumper from Massimo Dutti (similar here), £39, purchased in-store (Oxford Street, London).
Yes, it’s true. I am selling original vintage CHANEL (and Gucci) on my WIBT SHOP now…
Last Zara sale piece (for a while at least!). Again, it’s way too cold in London to actually wear these nude sandal heels from Zara at the moment, but this is how I would style them come spring time; with skinny jeans and a shirt. These shoes are quite ‘strict’ in their shape, so I think they’re best suited to simple jeans rather than a feminine dress (although I nearly always love my contrasts, they don’t always apply).
From Zara, £16.99.
