[FASHION] H&M Trend Wool & Silk Printed Jumper

Jan 4, 2013 by Anneli in FASHION 10 COMMENTS❤❤ TAGS: clothing, fashion outfit, H&M Trend, mary portas. silk, Second hand, shopping, wool

I picked up this fab jumper whilst browsing through Primrose Hill, one of my favourite areas in London. I found it in Mary Portas’s second hand shop, although it turned out to be brand new with the tag on! As you all know, I love a good statement jumper, to bring life to an otherwise muted and plain outfit. The jumper is made from beautiful silk and wool, and definitely going to be a wardrobe favourite for a good while!

Jumper from H&M Trend, bought at Mary Portas second hand boutique in Primrose Hill, £8 (reduced from £39.99).

I am wearing the jumper with leather and mohair coat from J.Crew, skinny jeans from Paul’s Boutique, boots from Geox, sunglasses from YSL and black leather bag from YSL.

[FASHION] ADAX Electric Blue Woven Clutch

Aug 24, 2012 by Anneli in FASHION 5 COMMENTS❤❤ TAGS: adax, clutch, danish, design, FASHION, outfit, scandinavia, Second hand, woven

First of all, I didn’t mean to look so grumpy in all of the pictures!

Anyways, here is the wonderful clutch I bought when I was in Copenhagen. It’s brand new, but I actually bought it at a vintage market stall. This one girl who was selling, had so much amazing stuff for grabs (also a fashion blogger) – there was a camel suede Gestuz jacket I am very much regretting I didn’t get…

The clutch, from Danish accessories brand ADAX, is woven in butter soft leather. The colour is gorgeous, and goes with just about everything believe it or not. It really makes a big difference to an outfit. It also comes with a detachable handle, but I prefer it just as a clutch. Definitely a new wardrobe favourite!

From Adax (past season, but similar here), £15 (originally £70).

I am wearing it with a Filippa K jumper (similar here), vintage denim skirt, Russell & Bromley suede leopard flats (similar here and here) and Michael Kors silver watch.

On another note, I am off to New York today! I don’t know if you remember this post, telling you about my trip (a birthday present from the b-friend)? Anyways, we were originally staying at Soho House, but a while back they told us they were doing some maintenance work during our stay. So we decided to move hotels to The Bowery Hotel in East Village, which in aftermath I have heard is even better! Check it out here. I am SO excited!

[FASHION] #3 Second Hand Finds: Wide Patent Belt

May 14, 2012 by Anneli in FASHION 2 COMMENTS❤❤ TAGS: belt, celine, FASHION, outfit, Second hand, vintage

Last but not least, my #3 second hand purchase was this wide leather patent belt (£1.50). I’ve been lusting for one since seeing the Céline SS12 campaign featuring a super-wide cream belt. I have so many small waist sized ones, so I really wanted a wide style to wear with skinny jeans on the hip. Such a great statement piece. Now, the hunt continues for a coloured/cream version…

I am wearing it with J Brand skinny jeans and Gap t-shirt.

[FASHION] #2 Second Hand Finds: LBD

May 13, 2012 by Anneli in FASHION 1 COMMENT❤ TAGS: black, dress, filippa k, lbd, Second hand, vintage

The #2 purchase from my second hand finds was this perfect daytime LBD (little black dress, £3.50) made from soft cotton and viscose. It’s super feminine; with an enhanced waist and cocoon shaped bottom part. I love the quality and casual style of it, and can foresee it being my fail safe black dress for both work and pleasure.

I am wearing it with a slim-line black patent belt from Filippa K, adding some structure to the look.

[FASHION] #1 Second Hand Finds: Batik Printed Dress

May 11, 2012 by Anneli in FASHION 1 COMMENT❤ TAGS: FASHION, Second hand, shopping

While I was down in Brighton last weekend I popped into a few of my favorite second hand shops. I picked up a few bits; the perfect daywear LBD (£3.50), a batic printed dress (£3) and a patent wide belt (£1.50). I know – so cheap.

I’ve always had a knack for finding great pieces at markets, charity shops or jumble sales. I don’t have patience for a lot of things, but I do have when it comes to clothes and accessories. These pieces were so worth scouring out.

I fell for the colour of this dress, and I’ve always been a sucker for batic prints in the summer. The dress is made from a chiffon/silk mix and is the perfect shape for a bohemian summer dress. Granted, it’s a few sizes big for me , but it will look great slung loosely over a bikini in the summer, or even teamed with a slim-fit black leather jacket and booties for a more city look.
