I have to admit, I am running on quite a back log with my latest buys and upload of pictures - which is a combination of moving chaos and travelling! I actually bought this shirt a few weeks ago in the Zara sale; it’s near enough perfect, made from thin cotton in a nice, loose shape. Super casual, yet so easy to add a bit of glam with a skirt and boots. A great addition to my ever growing shirt collection!

I love a good check shirt (as you might already have figured out). I love the colours on this one from ONLY – it will be the perfect spring/summer shirt to throw on over a grey marl t-shirt and denim cut off’s, or wear as worn above, with my favourite leather skinny pants.

Sorry for disappearing for the last few days, I am in the middle of finishing off the flat, whilst moving in (I can’t believe how much stuff I’ve accumulated over the years, and especially in the last 6-months!). I can’t wait to get my whole wardrobe out again, and my closet space is so much bigger than previously (floor to ceiling…*heaven*). I will show you more of the flat once I’m fully settled. NEW IN // #1 Forever 21: Double Pocket Madras Shirt

So, since moving to Marylebone in Central London, I am only a 10 minute walk from Selfridges, Bond Street and Oxford Street. Which basically means serious danger for me (in shopping terms).

Whenever I am bored, restsless or just in a shopping mood, I stroll down and look through the shops (although I always try to avoid Oxford Street like the plague). I have been quite curious to check out the much hyped Forever 21 since it launched in the UK earlier in the year, and it was exactly what I expected. Mass produced and trend led fast fashion. I’m not saying this is a negative (Zara is great example of this), but I do feel like the majority of styles are a bit too young for my personal taste. However as always, I manage to filter through and spot key pieces that can work well in my wardrobe.

One of the two pieces I picked up was this plaid shirt. I love the rugged material and colour combination. I can’t wait to dress this up with my leather skirt and heels for a night out, or keeping it more casual with my Converse.

I am a sucker for a good shirt. Especially in good quality materials, such as this gorgeous one from Baukjen by Isabella Oliver, made from 100% viscose. How amazing is this colour by the way? I have to admit, I don’t often opt for much in red – I actually think this is one of the only red pieces I own. I tend to go for more burgundy tones, but as you might have noticed in some previous ‘Wish List’ posts, red is all that I’m craving at the moment. This gorgeous pinky tone, is such a stand-out piece, with gold button detailings. A simple piece, yet so effective – changing up the dynamics to any regular outfit. A real versatile, investment item. In other words; the ideal combination to any new purchase.

NEW IN // SALE! #2 Quiksilver: Grey Marl Denim Shirt

This is the second purchase from Quiksilver (£28 - reduced from £55) – another shirt with some more polka dots. This ones a bit simpler and more subdued, which is equally nice I think.

I love a good shirt – it’s the perfect ‘fail-safe’ piece in my wardrobe. I would normally use a shirt more during the week when at work; paired with a some skinny jeans and heels or ballerinas. However I love a good shirt to lift a more casual ‘everyday-look’, as seen above, with a simple skirt and sandals (picture taken earlier in the week).

I am wearing the shirt with a H&M skirt, River Island fringe suede and leather sandals, Ray Ban Wayfarers, Bijoux by Desi F initial stamp necklace and Michael Kors watch.

NEW IN // SALE! #1 Quiksilver Woman: Denim Polka Dot Shirt

Believe it or not – I actually love Quiksilver Woman. You wouldn’t think it – but they’re female range is a far cry from logos, surf chic and neon colours. Think soft muted colours, bohemian blouses, great quality denim, shirts, silk dresses and tops. Some of my favourite pieces of “everyday clothing” are from Quiksilver – one of which being my beloved cargo jacket.

I popped into their end of season sale on Oxford Street a few days ago, and I was delighted to pick up a couple of bits, one being this gorgeous denim polka dot shirt. Perfect fit and the quality as always is great. Such a cute little piece! From Quiksilver, £32 (reduced from £65).

It’s gloriously hot in London! I’ve spent the last few days eating seafood off the BBQ, indulging in crisp white wine and walking to my favourite Italian gelateria in Holland Park for Rum Raisin flavoured ice cream. I don’t want this heat and summer feeling to ever end!

When the Zara sale hit last week, I couldn’t resist popping into what is one of my favourite high street sale destinations. I spend every season with serious cravings for just about everything – so the sale is the perfect opportunity where I can justify buying pieces I didn’t buy earlier in the season – because I didn’t have to have them. Like this shirt. I have so many shirts; plain, cotton, silk, slim, oversized. You name it. But I don’t have one in tropical print, and to top it off, with silver stud shoulder detailing. Oh yes.

I think these must be my most worn and favourite pieces from my summer wardrobe – a thin cotton shirt from Lindex and vintage denim shorts. They go with everything – dressed up with heels, or casual with a pair of flip flops. Simple, but elegant.
